Classic beauties wanted for Misfit Gearheads Pinup Contests! Get ready to strut your stuff on the main stage!

It’s your chance to win the crown and other fabulous prizes. Contest registration is free; however, general admission to the host events may be required. All we ask is that you read the rules below, submit your registration form with picture, and of course get your best Pinup attire together!

A Pinup tattoo is one of the most iconic tattoo designs. Made popular by World War II as a morale booster for troops overseas. “As a good luck charm, a beautiful woman would be painted on the side of an airplane, on a ship, or tattooed upon someone’s body.” The Pinup was a symbol of home. “The pinup was the combination of a pretty girl and something familiar, a reminder of a normal life. Something you could carry with you."

We are looking for a Pinup who can carry herself in a crowd, someone who is positive, professional, kind and compassionate. While all of you have your dashing attributes, this is not a contest based solely on popularity or cosmetic appeal, but also on individuals who support those around them. Winners will be chosen based on a panel of judges. Judges will rank contestants based on appearance (outfit, hair, makeup, shoes & ability to accessorize with authentic accessories), attitude & personality, and overall ability to appeal to a crowd.

“So set your Victory Rolls and find that perfect shade of lipstick. Smooth down that pencil skirt or fluff up that crinoline, because the stage is waiting! Don’t forget to bring that sweet and bright personality with you!”

Rules: 

• Contestants must be 18 years of age or older to participate 
• Registration Form & Photo required for entry
  • Submit via Google Form
• Contestants must wear 1930’s, 1940’s or 1950’s classic pinup attire
  • True vintage attire is encouraged, however, reproduction is acceptable
  • Ex. Circle skirts, pencil skirts, wiggle dresses, blouses, capris, high-waisted shorts, and vintage style swimwear
  • The Convention is family friendly, so no nudity, no flashing, no pasties, and no lingerie outfits
  • If you are unsure if your outfit fits these rules, just ask or send us a photo
  • If your outfit is not appropriate for the theme, officials will ask you to change or you will be automatically disqualified. Every effort should be made to be classic in style and in good taste.
• We will open the entries to the first 50 registrations received
  • Depending on number of applicants registered, first Round judging may be performed on Facebook to narrow the onstage contestants down to approximately 20 contenders in order to keep within our allocated stage time
• All entries will be placed in our Pinup Contest Photo Album on Misfit Gearheads Facebook Page
  • By entering the Pinup Contest, you automatically agree that your images or pictures can be used or featured in future advertisement, post promotions, and future event promotion. 
• Cut off for submissions will be TBD (See event details)
  • An email will be sent out to all the contestants after the deadline to confirm your spot and give you details for the day of the event
• Awards recognized for 3rd Place; 2nd Place; and of course, 1st Place

Liability Release:

In consideration of the acceptance of the right to participate in the Misfit Gearheads Pinup Contest, applicant/contestant agrees to indemnify Misfit Gearheads, the convention, show staff, event sponsors, and venue from and against any and all known and unknown damages or injuries that the contestant and their guests (including family and relatives) may sustain or incur as a result of their attendance/participation in this event and/or contest.
